Alison Pace is the author of the novels If Andy Warhol Had a Girlfriend, Pug Hill, Through Thick and Thin, City Dog, A Pug’s Tale and of the upcoming essay collection, You Tell Your Dog First (November 2012).

A 2009 recipient of the Dog Writers Association of America’s Maxwell Award for excellence in fiction, Alison’s essays have been included in numerous collections including It’s A Wonderful Lie: The Truth About Life in Your Twenties, Everything I Know About Being a Girl I Learned from Judy Blume and Howl: A Collection of the Best Contemporary Dog Wit.
